It’s one hundred years in Edson
what an awesome place to be
from old photos of old traplines
to a brand new town to see.

 

There are mem’ries of great moments
to some not so nice to hear
like the Great Flood on the river
or cold winters lurking near.

 

As the population doubled
then we had our local train
the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad
run by Edson Chamberlain.

 

The decision then was taken
we should change from Heatherwood
honor given for his passion
Edson’s name from then has stood.

 

It’s one hundred years in Edson
celebrate it all year through
let us all cheer Edson’s passion
it’s our town, it’s me and you.
